I am Bernadette Fernandez
I’m a multidisciplinary creative with a background in storytelling, communications, design, and digital media. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Media X from the University of the Pacific, where I explored everything from scriptwriting and storyboarding to multimedia production, visual design, and communication. Since then, I’ve continued building on that foundation through professional experience and coursework in web design, graphic design, digital media, and social media.
More Than One Medium
I’ve never been particularly interested in putting creativity into just one box. My work has taken me from designing publications and digital graphics to creating social media content, editing video. building websites, and exploring photography and visual storytelling. I enjoy learning new tools and figuring out how different creative approaches can work together to communicate an idea.
What I Bring
My background sits at the intersection of communication and creativity. I bring an eye for visual design, a love of storytelling, and an interest in creating digital experiences that are both engaging and accessible. Whether I’m working on a publication, website, social media campaign, or multimedia project, I like thinking about not only how something looks, but also how people will experience and understand it.
Always Learning
My creative toolkit is still growing, and that’s part of what I enjoy. I’m currently continuing my studies in design and digital media, with a focus on expanding my skills in web design, layout, imaging, and social media. For me, every new medium is another way to tell a story, solve a problem, or bring an idea to life.
